VidControl
A downloadable tool for Windows
VidControl
Video transcoder for people who know what they're doing.
You know the drill: 50 MKV files, multiple audio tracks, subtitles in 3 languages - and everything needs to be
Plex-ready. With HandBrake you do that one by one. With VidControl you don't.
What's it do?
- Batch queue - Drop files, configure, let it run
- Per-file track selection - Keep audio 2, burn subtitle 1, ditch the rest
- Hardware encoding - NVENC, QuickSync, AMF - whatever your GPU supports
- Plex presets - Direct Play, no transcoding drama
- Subtitle handling - PGS to SRT via OCR, burn, extraction
Requirements
- Windows 10/11
- FFmpeg (bundled or in PATH)
- Optional: Tesseract for OCR
